Ms. D is a new resident with a lifetime full of love, faith, and cherished memories. She was married for 64 wonderful years and is lovingly referred to as “Granny” by everyone. She has always enjoyed reading and especially loved visits from the bookmobile. A talented seamstress, Ms. D lovingly made her children’s clothes when they were young.
She also enjoys spending time around her daughter’s swimming pool, admiring roses — her favorite flower — and watching hummingbirds, her favorite bird.
Faith has always been an important part of Ms. D’s life, and she served as a devoted Sunday school teacher for many years. In the kitchen, she is known for her fantastic jam cake recipe that has surely become a treasured family favorite.
Ms. D enjoys participating in bingo and working puzzles, and she loves classic movies such as Lassie and Gone with the Wind.
We are so happy to welcome Ms. D to our community and look forward to getting to know her even more through the stories, talents, and traditions she shares with everyone around her.
