October 6, 2026
October is Resident Rights Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rights, dignity, and individuality of every nursing home resident.
Resident Rights Month reminds us that residents have the right to be treated with respect, dignity, kindness, and compassion every day. Residents have the right to make choices about their daily lives and care, express their preferences and concerns, maintain relationships with family and friends, participate in activities, and feel safe and valued in their home.
At Elkton Nursing & Rehab, we believe our residents’ voices matter. Each person has a unique story, personality, and preferences, and we are committed to making sure those things are respected and honored.
Resident Rights Month is more than a reminder—it is a celebration of the people who make our community special. Every resident deserves to feel heard, respected, and empowered to have a say in their care and their life.
